In this article I want to share information that might be useful for all of you, namely how to handle videos that are not in tune with the audio when the video is playing, maybe this is because the audio is too fast or the audio is lagging behind. Usually I find it in old videos, TV recordings that I find on YouTube, although it does not rule out the latest videos like that too.
To overcome this there is a difficult way, for example, it can be edited in editor applications such as kdenlive and openshot, but in this article, I will share the easy way, namely using the vlc media player, is very helpful for those who want to be fast, but unfortunately not permanent.
VLC Desktop
There are 2 ways to do this, the first way is when you open the video, you can go to Tools> Effects and Filters.
After that go to Synchronization and set how many seconds of audio deceleration time you want, you can set it from the lowest to -100 seconds and the highest to 100 seconds, if you give a minus number then the audio will play faster than the video whereas if the number is positive the audio will play slower than the video, when finished just close it and see the results.
The second and most recommended way is with the keyboard keys, more precisely using the J and K keys, the J button to speed up the audio and the K button to slow down the audio, and after I tried it, besides being more practical there are other advantages when using this method because we can cross the limit -100 seconds and +100 seconds on the first method.
VLC Android
For vlc for android you can do it easily, when playing the video, please click the menu marked with a white arrow as shown below.
Then the set menu will appear and select the menu whose image is almost similar to the image as before, but there are arrows on the left and right, which if we look at the image below the position is above the writing 50ms.
Then the plus minus button will appear as shown below, you just need to adjust how many seconds the delay is.
Those are some tips or information for those of you who are constrained by audio that doesn't sync when playing videos, especially those using VLC to play the video, I hope this article is useful for all of you, see you in another article, Thank you
